A Week in St. Lucia

At long last, I've gone through the ridiculous amount of photographs we took during our recent girl's only trip to St. Lucia.

Know that it wasn't meant to be a girl's only trip.

Also know that my Julian refused to join us regardless of how many times I begged asked.

This destination has been on my own bucket list for some time.

Visions of the pitons had intrigued me for years - The Bachelor didn't help.

Let me tell you, St. Lucia is not close.

From Toronto, it a 5-hour flight followed by a minimum 1 hour and 30 minute shuttle to your hotel.

I will also tell you that is worth every.last.minute

  

 

We lazed on the beach.

We swam in the pool for hours. We couldn't get our little bathing beauty out of said pool.

We took a cruise to Soufrière where we visited a botanical garden and the infamous mud baths.

We drank far, FAR too many fruity frozen drinks.

We ate.

We foam partied.

We danced.

We carnivaled.

And best of all?

We created memories to last a lifetime.

Feeling blessed.

A Week in Punta Cana

If you follow along on instagram, then you would already know that we had THE best all girls vacation in Punta Cana last month.

We booked very last minute {sometimes the best kind of plans} and were off that same weekend.

The boys stayed back because of soccer obligations and honestly, I think it's just what these girls needed. 

We spent lazy days around the pool, {well, Izzy and I were lazy...Ava swam from sun up until sundown} and went for fabulous dinners and shows each night. 

The warm evenings in the caribbean are like no other.

We stayed at the Sensatori Resort in Punta Cana - just newly opened this past summer and incredible from start to finish.

Starting with the upgrade to the honeymoon suite complete with wrap-around balcony and ending with the surprise Nickleodeon Resort adjacent to the property which allowed us to use their waterpark.

Ava Grace hated that part.

Memories to last a lifetime.

And in the end, what life is truly all about.

Vacation 2013 In Pictures

I packed up my girls, {yes, our boys survived an entire week without us!} and headed to South Florida for a week. 

Pure bliss. 

It was so nice to enjoy the warm sun and some quality girl time.

Can't wait to do it again!

Dreaming of Paris

...from Paris!

No, I'm not really in Paris but a girl can dream n'est pas?

And a lifelong dream it has been.

I dream of seeing the eiffel tower and not being at Paris, Paris in Vegas. 

Sigh.

I dream of sitting at a dreamy little cafe people watching.

A creperie might be even better.

And I would certainly be wearing a beret. And a striped long sleeve shirt with a black pencil skirt and pointy-toed flats. Cat eye sunglasses. Red lips.

Not that I've planned it out or anything...

There might be a little shopping and there would definitely be a stop at Laduree.

I have pinned more macaron's from this infamous bakery than any normal person should.

I just want one. 

One.

are you reading this my brother who may or may not be in France at this very moment? one.

And then there would be endless roaming of the streets.

Getting lost in the beauty that can be found in most european cities but that seem to be even prettier in the City of Light.

An apartment in this building would certainly provide some incredible views from all sides.
Anyone know a good agent?

Just Drive

Vacationing with a toddler {particularly one who is in the midst of those terrible two's} sometimes means less mall time of anything where a stroller is involved.

And more driving around in hopes of someone, we won't mention names, falling asleep.

Although the latter didn't happen, we did get to do a lot of exploring; most roads led to beautiful Palm Beach.

Keep driving lady.
