What I Wore : Casual Navy

A casually simple outfit today.
Perfect for school drop off. errand running. nursing a sick husband.
This look called for a comfortable bootie and a vest that's perfect for quick jaunts in and out of the car.
A pretty necklace, this one via Uncommon Goods, is all it needed.

top - Joe Fresh {U.S. here}
vest - The Gap {not current / option}
sunglasses - Ray Ban
necklace - c/o Uncommon Goods
jeans - Fifteen {on sale!}
booties - Seychelles {on sale!}
I loved the story behind the piece almost more than the piece itself.
The black onyx stone encourages happiness + good fortune while the peridot signifies healing and rebirth. The horseshoe needs no explanation.
The necklace, named "luck is believing you're lucky"  has a lot of significance for me right now.
A friend of mine is facing a personal struggle. One that she has been through before + didn't think she would face again. But, here we are.
She can choose to look at and approach her situation in many different ways.
I am confident that she will move forward with strength, dignity and a heart full of hope. I know that mine is full.
It will go from me to her sometime later this week.
I hope this pretty piece of jewellery brings both courage and a little luck.

Uncommon Goods, based in Brooklyn, New York was founded in 1999 with a goal of offering a space to purchase unique, handmade items {most of which are made in the U.S.A.!} that are cruelty-free and in harmony with the environment.
With every purchase made, $1 goes to the non-profit charity of the purchaser's choice and since inception, they've donated over $700,000.
