You don't have to put away all of your summer favorites just yet...
here's my take on how to extend them into the fall + look on trend doing it.
Look 1 // Layer a pretty sheer blouse like this one under a colorful shift dress. Add opaque tights and a simple black kitten heel {these by Michael Kors} and you're all set.
Look 2 // I've been wearing light colored boyfriend jeans and graphic tees all summer and am not about to give them up anytime soon. Keep them current by adding a moto-style blazer {this one in a pretty oxblood shade would do nicely} and swapping pumps for studded booties. A darker lip completes the look. {color : NARS Majella}
Look 3 // And lastly, the beloved maxi skirt. I will wear mine well into the winter season with the addition of a loose knit sweaters like this one, warm tights and a super high ankle boot {Givenchy? Yes please} . The addition of the infinity knit scarf adds a bit of interest and some added warmth.
How are you prolonging the wear of your summer faves?
Have a fabulous weekend!

ReplyDeleteThis is awesome fashion advice. I need all the advice in this area I can get. I have seen and heard about infinity scarves, but now I want to incorporate some into my wardrobe. THANK YOU!
ReplyDeleteThese are all really great. wish there was someone who could just pick my clothes out every day and decide what looks nice on me. I am so bad at it.
ReplyDeleteI am postponing boots as long as I can but I pair dresses with cardigans and blazers alot during this transition period.
ReplyDeleteAdding scarves is also a great idea, not only they keep warm (mum's advice...) but also add the seasonal touch.
What a lovely selection, Susan! I am a great fan of burgundy and love that sweater in #2.
