As someone who firmly believes you don't need to spend a lot of money to find the perfect gift, I still enjoy a little splurge now and then.
Particularly during the holidays.
I love to purchase {and receive} items that someone wouldn't necessarily buy for themselves.
Aren't those the best kind of gifts?
1. I enjoy all things french and this adorable pillow is no exception. It would look perfect on my upstairs hall chair {the one that no one sits on ever} where I could admire it every day. Did you notice it can be personalized?
Tres adorable {$85}
2. As far as I'm concerned, {perhaps the reason I included 3!} a girl can never have enough jewellery or trinket boxes. My husband bought me this one years ago and it's still one of my favourite pieces. This one from Pottery Barn could easily become a new favourite. $199
3. I think that Christmas decor as gift is highly underrated; particularly as a hostess gift. I can always find room for a new little something with but might not think to pick it up for myself. This little mailbox is darling + doesn't scream Christmas. $30
4. I won a pair of these Loren Hope earrings in a recent instagram giveaway {go me!} and I honestly have no words to describe how incredibly stunning they are. There is a huge selection of colours; one more beautiful than the next. I have since become an avid visitor of her gorgeous site and often spend time drooling over her incredible pieces. Any woman would be beyond thrilled to receive these I'm sure.
$68
5. Oh look, it's another box. This one is as interesting as it is stunning with it's unique owl-faced closure. I just love the lacquer finish and know that I could find a perfect home for this beauty.
$138
6. I also believe in starting them young. Ava is enamored with jewellery boxes that open to play music. Obsessed may be a better word. We have been eyeing a Disney one for some time because I could not find this one before. It is exactly what I am after for her bedroom.
And? It plays The Nutcracker. I may cry. $80
7. A simple bowl always makes a lovely gift. This one would work perfectly in a front hallway to catch keys, loose change etc. I just love the hammered finish. $90 20% off right now via Zinc Door
8. I've almost never met a candle I didn't like but my favourites would have to be these by Diptyque and Jo Malone respectively. Not only are they so pretty to look at, but they smell incredible AND last. Worth the investment. $62 ll $75
9. And, as they say, I have saved the best for last. Funny story with this Tom Ford fragrance.
Ava and I were out shopping one day and popped into Sephora toput on play with lipstick. There was a beautiful woman shopping with her own little girl in the fragrance department waiting on a sample of this particular scent and we struck up a conversation. Know that,
a. I did not know you could even ASK for a sample!
b. After smelling it, I contemplated getting one and then going to every Sephora in Ontario and doing the same thing.
I kid. sort of. $290
I've put a pretty good dent into my own Christmas shopping. Just a few left!
