A Little Leopard

Excited to share the third and final outfit in the series of featured looks by Canadian brand and retail store Cleo with you today.
{Click to see looks one + two here}
This camel cardigan has been on heavy rotation already - equally cute with jeans and a turtleneck as it is with this pull on (!) leopard print skirt.
I'm loving the slightly longer length with boots which easily transitions for the office with a black opaque tight and simple pumps.

If you've never shopped Cleo, I suggest having a peek in time for Black Friday.
The deals are crazy good {read: this skirt is on for under $25} and include a different item at 50% off daily.
Happy Shopping indeed.

What I Wore : Peachy Keen

So here's something.
This entire outfit {minus bag + shoes} is under $50. Canadian.
Further proof that my theory = a good quality handbag and shoes make an outfit.
A cute J. Crew necklace doesn't hurt either.

top - H+M | cigarette pants - H+M | belt - Joe Fresh | shoes - Calvin Klein | handbag - Michael Kors Collection |
sunglasses - Forever 21 | jewels - J. Crew
Fast fashion is fleeting -
But, I just can't resist when a fun new colour like this peachy keen one comes along.

Wishing everyone a Happy Canada Day!

Four Eyes

I have a secret.
I wore glasses even when I didn't need them.
I've always loved the way the looked - making the face that much more interesting.
Now, that I've {ahem} graduated from loving to needing glasses, I still enjoy the process of choosing the perfect pair; really, just an excuse to shop for accessories really.
Am I right?

I've never bought eyeglasses on-line.
I really didn't think it was possible to get the right pair, in the right size, with the right prescription.
I truly thought everything would just be, well, wrong.
And boy was I ever. {wrong that is}
GlassesUSA.com is on a mission to change this stigma. To show us that you CAN buy eyeglasses without ever leaving your house.
With their Virtual Mirror feature, I simply uploaded a picture of myself to the site and tried away!
I may or may not have tried every pair. And then, let Ava Grace try on all of the sunglasses.
I settled on a smoke grey, almost translucent plastic frame in a size larger than I normally wear - and I am loving them.
I was able to quickly order my glasses in the size I needed WITH my reader prescription {included at no additional charge!} intact.
And shipping to Canada and the U.S.?
Always free.
Price points at GlassesUSA.com are significantly lower than anywhere I've shopped and selection is on-point with favourite brands such as RayBan and Muse {which I'm wearing above} available to suit ever style and face.
The site is worth a peek, even if you just play with the virtual mirror.

Disclosure: GlassesUSA.com sent me a pair of glasses at no charge for the purpose of this review. As always, all opinions are strictly my own.

What I Wore : Black Lace

Sharing the first of two lacey looks featuring pieces from Leave Nothing But Footprints fall/winter line.
The fabrics, including bamboo viscose, organic cotton and modal are all sustainable and most biodegradable - they contain fewer chemicals and less water.
And , most importantly, feel incredible on the skin.
I have a number of items in my own collection and reach for them time and again.
Sidenote: if you have sensitive skin like me, this is the stuff.

"kayla" lace top c/o LNBF | abby denim leggings c/o LNBF | clutch - The Gap {sold out / loving this}
bangle - J.Crew | shoes - Nine West "Kenie" {on sale!}
Next week, I'll feature a casual lace look switching out a few of the pieces you see today to create a completely different vibe.
Oh, and there may or may not be a giveaway involved!
Be sure to stop by.

Happy Wednesday.

What I Wore : Fringed

Melanie Lyne has been a Canadian fashion staple since 1983.
Recently, I had the opportunity to re-visit the brand - spending time in one of their locations checking out their new fall line.
So many fabulous choices at price-points that won't break the bank.
With autumn quickly approaching, their selection of incredible fall sweaters, cozy capes and coats have me excited about the cooler months ahead.
Almost.

What I Wore : Cold Shoulder

If I had to choose just one very favourite colour, this shade of baby blue would be it.
For as long as I can remember, I've always snapped up anything I find in this colour - from sweatshirts, to swimsuits.
And the flattering cold shoulder style makes it even better.

What I Wore : Safari Chic

I've been on the hunt for a shirt-dress style dress that would work for the office {most were ridiculously short} and stumbled across this one at Ann Taylor.
I loved the colour, the fact that it had a long sleeve that could be slightly rolled to make it 3/4 and the midi-length.
It's already made the cut for numerous office and casual events.

dress - Ann Taylor {sold out in khaki /still available in stone} | shoes - Valentino
My only complaint is that the linen-blend fabric wrinkles incredibly quickly but otherwise,
all about the simplicity of dresses come summertime.
Something about throwing it on and heading out the door that appeals to me when it's just too hot to think.

Happy Wednesday.
