Two What I Wore posts this week? That's right.
I pulled these old dresses out of my mother's closet only yesterday.
They smell of her. They smell vintagey. {yes, that's a word}
I'm not sure these photos do the piece of marvelousness {also a word} above justice.
The fabric looks like the most beautiful watercolor you have ever seen.
I saved my favorite for last.
Seriously contemplating wearing this one {sans the whitey-white legs} for an upcoming event.
I mean, look at those sleeves! I die.
Dear mama. I know I tell you that you're crazy all the time for keeping this stuff.
Today, I say thank you.
And I will be there again next week for more goodness.
Elegant ! Timeless! These are gorgeous and look absolutely great on you! How lucky to have a mama that is so fashionable... and you have certainly inherited that trait and are passing it on to your little darlings! You must also save these, your girls will thank you one day!
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to see what other fabulous finds you discover in your mama's closet... Happy Friday...xo HHL
I absolutely LOVE these genuine vintage pieces...I always admired the fashion of the 60's and 70's. They are timeless and so chic. Your mom has great taste...it OBVIOUSLY runs in the family ;)

ReplyDeletestopping by via blonde eps...can't wait to read more.
That's so cool that you have your mom's old dresses. I looove the colors of the first one.
ReplyDeleteI like the new dictionary your coming up with! :) How fun those dresses are! You should definitely wear them if you have the occasion. So fun! :) I have an old skirt of my mom's from the 50's but the waist on it is way too tiny... I think she wore it in high school. :)

ReplyDeleteYour mama had style! You look AMAZING in those!
ReplyDeleteWow! Your favorite is my favorite too. But you look gorgeous in all of them. I also adore shopping in my mom's closet, so nice that we're the same size!
