Looking Back : Halloween through the Years

I love Halloween. And, even though my own mother thought it was ok for me to wear the same clown costume every single year, I do my best to keep it a little creative.

Some of my favourite memories included running house to house across front lawns chasing my older cousin and my friend's older brother. We would be soaked with sweat, the good kind, by the time we got our pillowcases home. We would lie down on our tummies to begin the process of sorting -- lollipops in one pile, chocolate bars in another, gum, licorice, hard candy...and so it went. 

My father would steal all of the tootsie rolls and I would hope to trade off all of my coffee crisp.

Those were the days, when my biggest worry was where to hide my halloween candy after our swaps were done.
