A Better Shopping Experience with Yellow Pages

If you're like me, then you are always on the hunt for something.
Maybe it's just me but I feel like my children's shoe size changes weekly {I need shoes for gym class! Tomorrow!} and my son particularly, has a growth spurt every time we have a family event. {what do you mean you have NO shirts that fit?}
With that said, I spend a lot of time running around, sometimes unnecessarily.
And often, I think back to a particular shopping experience and think, I should have checked if they were open on Sundays. Or, exactly where a particular store was before I headed out.

Enter the YP.ca application available on both the Android and Apple store.
The app has quickly become one of my most used because it's just so helpful.
I can check out where the closest gas station is + who has the lowest price. always Costco.

I can see shopping deals being offered by local retailers including current in-store promos on say, {ahem} shoes.

Or use it to look up the number for the local movie theatre {which I feel like I do weekly+ see other's peoples reviews of said theatre. Or store. Or anything. I even included a few of my own like my favourite take-out pizza. Which is Pizza Prima in Woodbridge in case you are wondering.

I love that on one small screen, I can see the address, telephone number and even a street view shot of the location. One click takes me to their website or to a link to get full directions. I used it recently to find out where the closest mexican restaurant is. Just another thing I feel like I do weekly.
The first screen shows the address and approximate location.
One click opens up my phones GPS and provides me with both directions + approximately how long it will take before I am sipping on a margarita  there.
Love.

You can download the application on itunes here or android here.
See it in action below.

  1. Well done! One of my go to apps on a daily basis. Excellent local content, with information that's current and up to date. Excellent review.

  2. Thank you thank you thank you!!! This is the app for me. I'm always looking up information about various places, situations, etc. but instead of having one app to find it all I've been going to how many different places and that takes time. Thank you so much for introducing me to this app.

  6. I live in a smaller town so this wouldn't be very useful to me but it would have been awesome when I lived in a city!
