What I Might Do with $1000

For the purpose of this exercise, let's pretend I don't have children that would be asking me to buy them over-priced jackets, video games and toys.
And that I'm allowed to be completely selfish.
Oh, and we'll also pretend that I have a babysitter for the entire day!

With a $1000

1. With 3 kids in tow (usually), I find the cross-body bag is the best way to go. This one by Michael Kors in navy. would be perfect for the Spring.

2. I've been looking to replace my gold-tone watch. This one by Marc Jacobs would do nicely.

3. A few little, albeit extravagant goodies from the make up counter. The perfect red and the perfect neutral.

4. Black skinnies from Ted Baker.

5. And yes, of course they made an appearance. I would get red because I know I wouldn't otherwise.

And with the leftover dollars, this mama would treat herself to a nice, long facial.
See how happy she looks?

Christmas Wish List : Stocking Stuffers

Is there anything more fun than opening stockings on Christmas morning?
It has become quite the tradition around these parts and sometimes, I find the kids young and old are more excited about these goodies than any gift.

Stocking Stuffers

1. Hello Trilogy Stores and hello beautiful Monica Vinader bracelet. Find it here. Each of the colors of these friendship bracelets represent a personal quality. How fun is that? In the case of this one, it's LOVE. Perfection.

2. Ms Ava has a few Jellycat stuffed animals and they're the softest, cutest things around. This one is called "Cordy Roy Cat". So fun. He would add a nice bright punch of color to any room. Find him here

3. My sweet friend Christina's shop, The Olive Tree, is full of stocking goodness for the little's on your list. We own a few pieces including a beyond beautiful headband and flower clip. Find this pretty combo here

4. I have written before about my love story with Chanel polish. This color is drool-worthy non? It is called "frenzy" and I would like it thank.you.very.much.Santa

5. I love Boscia products and personally use their BB cream which is just amazing. Isabella loves blotting papers and these pink peppermint ones would make a fun addition to any stocking. Find them here

6. Truth be told, I simply cannot choose an iphone case. There are far too many to choose from! This one, by J Crew caught my eye. It's fun and stylish.

7. And lastly, no stocking would be complete without a few tasty treats. I always like to try to find unique chocolate and candy vs just the everyday goodies. I think Chapter's does an amazing job of finding some incredible stuff including these vanilla marshmallows. Hello!

So, what about you? Are you a fan of the many smaller gifts or one large one?

The Florida Edition

Although Florida may not be known as the fashion capital of the world, I gotta tell you - I saw some fabulous stuff while I was shopping visiting.
Professional women do a damn good job of "business casual" considering it's like 500 degrees on  most summer days. I particularly enjoyed visiting Starbucks or Panera on weekday mornings and checking out the crowd.

Most girls seemed to be rocking a variation of this look.
A totally casual tank (basically an undershirt) with dress pants and heels.
Most of them did not rock the Chanel handbag. But hey, most girls are not Amanda Seyfried. Whatever.

Fla shopping is next to none. In this girl's opinion.
Here in T.O. designer handbags never (and I mean never) go on sale.
Imagine my surprise when I walked into Saks and saw a table full marked CLEARANCE(are you kidding me?)
Naturally, I couldn't decide. The deals were that good.
So I left.
And then couldn't stop thinking about this one black, simple (the leather is like butter) Tory Burch shoulder bag.
I went back the very next day. Like the day we were getting ready to fly out.
And now she lives here with me.
For under $225.
Seriously unheard of.

Maxi dresses are still everywhere.
My husband laughed at me when I wore mine in that heat. Not so new.
This one by Victoria's Secret is lovely.
And comes in a ton of sweet colors.

And still...nothing says Florida like a little Lilly Pulitzer, non?
I might choose this.
Since all that sunshine really does have you feeling compelled to follow the locals lead and ditch anything more than a hint of black on most days.
So liberating.
Here's little miss in her version of all out color.
In shades of pink and aqua.

Because she's cool like that.
And you gotta stay cool in that heat.

Happy Friday Fashionistas!
