What I Wore : Sears LookBook

Ah, Spring.

The time of year when the salt-encrusted boots finally get put away, coats all but disappear and lighter layers make their welcome reappearance. I find that I am always most excited to shop for this time of year above all other seasons; likely because we are coming out of many month's of what has proven to be one of the coldest winter's ever.

Spring bring's new beginnings and really, what better place to start with than with your own closet? I can't think of one. 

Sears Canada introduces their Spring Look! Report and it is filled with great ideas to get you ready for the coming season.

Lighten up with pretty pale hues or try one of the many digital floral prints available. Like a watercolour painting for your clothes, it adds a bit of interest to simple all-black. 

Personally, I love that color blocking remains a key trend creating even more of a bold impact when done in geometric prints.

And of course, pretty little details are everywhere, in the form of lace trim, silky t's, crochet and soft prints (including lots of polka dots!) might just make you wish all over again that the groundhog hadn't seen his shadow in the sun on that fateful day.

 I'm loving the effortless chic of a sleeveless sheath, always a wonderful investment piece. When worn with or without a blazer, it transitions so easily from work to play and will make you reach for it over and over again. 

And can we talk about how fun the floral print stretch denim jacket is? The quality is just superb - 

I would love to pair it with white shorts or over a maxi dress for cool summer evenings.

It might just need to find it's way into my closet permanently.
