When I was tasked with creating a fresh make up look for Spring with a $20 product budget, I considered it a challenge.

And also,an opportunity to share some of my recent favourite drug store picks with all of you.
Typically, I am a firm believer in "you get what you pay for" but when it comes to make up, updating each season doesn't have to break the bank.
Investing in 2 bases, more coverage in winter, {this is my newest obsession} and a sheer tinted moisturizer in the summer {this is my tried and true}alongside a good quality mascara {I still love this one} keeps me looking my best throughout the year.
Fun elements like blush, lipstick and eye shadow can easily be changed up - and, with drugstore quality getting better and better, there is no need to make a significant investment for items that you use seasonally.
I stopped into Shoppers Drug Mart to see what was new for Spring and was greeted with a wide array of products to choose from.
I even found a sweet Valentine's display still in place with a decent selection of Essence products still available.
With lots of softer, lighter colour options available, I went with a decidedly Spring combination of pink with green/gold.
Think grass + flowers.
I know we haven't seen either in a while.
