After a long day at work, the first thing I do when I get home?
Change into comfortable clothes. And wash every last bit of make up off my face.
Have been doing so for as long as I can remember.
Today, I use my Clarisonic with a basic cleanser followed by the richest moisturizer I can find.
My current product of choice is Lise Watier's La Crème Sublime.
I have been using it for just shy of three weeks and have not only seen a significant difference in my skin, but I can feel it.
Rich, luxurious and incredibly fresh smelling without being overpowering.
Truth be told, I reapply just before bed for the latter experience alone.

If there is one thing I have learned over the past few years, with the hustle and bustle of daily life with 3 children in tow? It's that if you do just one thing for yourself, let it be to take time out to look after YOU.
I far too often forget to do that. Am the queen of making excuses.
But this year, whether it be setting aside time to exercise (I am trying), putting on a face mask or spending a few quiet minutes alone in the bath; I know now that I always end up feeling better about myself, and about life in general as a result.
Ready to take it all on.
Indulging once in a while also works wonders.
And I will say, as far as skincare goes, these days, I often splurge on moisturizer above all else.
As I age, I am finding I like products that are richer and richer.
For body, an almost petroleum-like consistency is my favourite; especially at this time of year.
And for the face and neck, do not forget the neck, the more moisturizing, the better.
Lise Watier's La Crème Sublime has done the trick and more. With ingredients including Labrador Tea and Canadian Rumex, it promises to begin to restore elasticity AND radiance within a few short weeks of use.
It will definitely continue to be on heavy rotation throughout the long winter months ahead.
Aging is not a right. It's a privilege.
And I intend to, respectively, look as good as I can while I'm doing it.
I'm not an aging gracefully type. But I do believe in aging with grace.
