As I sat down to prepare this week's feature, I began to think about when exactly I "met" Lisa through the blogging world. And how exactly.
It's funny.
Sometimes, it can be a link up that brings two bloggers together, a giveaway that you just have to enter {and all of Lisa's fall into this category} or a similiarity between the two of you that just can't be ignored.
I think the latter is how our friendship came to be.
I think know that we would be fast friends IRL.
And very, very dangerous shopping partners.
Welcome Lisa from Peridot Skys.

1. How has your style evolved since getting older?
Realizing what my style was was the first step in the evolution. I focus on what I know works on my body and what I am comfortable in, rather than following a trend and not feeling comfortable in it if it's not me.
Definitely short skirts and cropped sweaters. I had plenty of both and wouldn’t dream of wearing them now. I still avoid plaid; and pleats were never my favorite. I don’t wear body hugging dresses anymore. 40+ woman shouldn’t share their every curve but rather leave a little for the imagination!
3. Any looks you regret?
I never was into the Madonna look thank heavens! My younger sister was and I always cringed. I do regret the years of being so tan and my hair being too blonde
I wish I had know that the women whose outfits I admired were more than the clothes she had on. It was the way she carried herself, and the confidence she exuded that I was attracted too. Style isn't always about what you wear…but how you wear it!
Sandra Bullock for sure is a favorite inspiration of mine, as well as Julia Roberts. Both these woman are classy and on trend but never out on a limb in their choices. I love how you can see how confident they are in their outfit choices from boyfriend jeans to ball gowns.
Don’t be so quick to clean out your closet. I gave away so many things now I wished I still had. Don’t follow the trends, be true to your style and stay timeless.
I love to save for those splurge items and finding a good bargain is always fun. Being in your 40’s really is the best so far.
I plan on making the 50’s even better!
And on the subject of splurge items, I loved this post from Lisa talking about hers. Such great advice.
Thanks so much for being here today my friend!

DeleteI'm so with her on the cleaning out of the closet. Now, if only I could get my clutter hating hubby to agree to let me keep everything until it comes back in style! ;)
