Friday Fancies : Sittin' by the Fire

We bought a fire pit for the backyard last summer and I have to say, when my husband brought it home, I thought it was another one of those excited to have it at first and then never use it kinda things.
Boy, was I wrong.
We use it all.the.time and it actually encourages the kids to get outside.
We make s'mores some evenings. And on others, we just sit around and end up stinking like the fire.
The good kind of stink.

    i like the *idea* of sitting beside a fire but then
    the reality is that the smoke and smell of it all is just
